Metal

Safety (Bench Drill)l -   In terms of using bench drills u need to have a partner to help u switch  off the drill  if something bad happened to you.You also need to wear safety glasses to protect your eye in any piece of metal might get to your eye.

Safety (Bench Buffing Machine) - In using polishing machine in order to be safe u need to wear face shield to protect your whole face because your  metal might hit your face during the polishing

This pictures are my finish products which are F shapes and my drill gauge

What I've done the the F shape is I measured a piece of metal then i cleaned it using sand paper   and i cut it using hack saw then I put blue layout fluid so i can see my marking easily then I measured the gaps equally where i used ruler and a vernier to get a accurate measure after that i did the same thing again to make the other side

What I've done in my drill gauge is I measured and  cut a piece of metal and then i cleaned it using sand paper and then i put a blue layout fluid so i can see my marking clearly after that i started marking where i'm going to drill the holes after I've done the holes i started cleaning it again using sand paper after i removed the rust i started polishing it using a machine called bench buffing machine.

Today we've  been introduced to the Lathe, we learned some parts of it and  basic things about it , like how to turn it off and on we also learned how to change the speed of the spindle, and how to adjust the tool post. Our teacher also showed us how to use the emergency off, he also demonstrate how to drill and and facing an object. We also got told to always brush the machine before and after using it to keep it clean, and to make sure that its off after we use it.

In my opinion…. I think that animals have the free to be animals and be able to live there life without having drugs/chemicals or cosmetics put into them just to see if it will work on humans!

Drugs are probably the worst out of all of them, why will let me
tell you that all the medications you get for pain, sleeping etc
all that gets tested on animals which is “ANIMAL ABUSE” and
if you think that it is okay for people to test on animals you're a
monster

Chemicals are on of the things that get tested, if you want to
know if it’s safe around children you find out by testing it and
your not going to do it on a child are you no your going to test
it on something that you can get rid of the body easy if it’s not
safe and the thing you have tested it on has passed away!

Cosmetics isn’t to bad but it’s still testing on animals which is
animal abuse” and it makes the animals change in different
ways for example the animal that gets tested will have mood
swings, behaviour issues etc; They have to live with this
problem for the rest of there life which is not cool because us
as the voice for the animals aren’t saving or helping them

So in my opinion animals should have the rights to live there
lifes and not worry if the drug that was put in to them will kill
them or not and it’s not fear on the animals because they don’t
have a voice to speak up and but a stop to it!

Green and Rainbow challenges
A: Green challenge:

Take a test tube and fill with "two fingers" of the base. Now see the teacher for three drops of universal indicator. Now add the acid

Observations:
1. When we added the universal indicator to the base the colour changed to Blue .
2. When the solution was neutralized the colour changed to Green .

The most difficult thing about this challenge was trying to balance then base and acid

B: Rainbow challenge:

Take a test tube, the base and the acid and universal indicator and create a the best rainbow in a test tube you can manage.

Metal

In Metal we used the bluffer safely, I know this because we used safety masks and we used a bowl of  water to dip our work in so it would cool down faster and we could keep working on our projects without worrying about getting burns on our hands.

Metal

In metal we were using the drill press safely, how do I know this because we used safety glasses and we clamped the work down so it doesn't spin and hit someone. We also had our hair tide up if its is long so it doesn't get ripped into the drill as it's going. We took all our loss clothing off so it didn't get tangled in the drill press!

Are students addicted to their phones

I feel that students are addicted to their phones because lots of teens are on lots of social media which means more screen time in one day and have their phones in their hands most of the time. I think that this is bad because people aren't going outside and more people are getting really lazy, for example people now just call uber or postmate to bring them food/drinks and all they have to do is get up off the couch and pay for it. And People don’t talk to each other like they use to, they just text each other. Children don’t like to play outside as much as they use to, they just like to watch television or on cell phones. Many children are starting to get there first cell phone at a really young age witch means there will start to grow up with a phone so they start to get addicted when they get older!

How technology changed the way we do things

Technology has changed many job, task and everyday activities we do. This is
because the technology has improved and allowed us to do things differently. For example working on or manufacturing a car or bike or whatever your working on there are now new power tools that don’t need as much work involved and robots help by lifting heavy things such as motos and witch are run by computers. Another example is the way that we cook we use to use a fire outside with a pot or a pan on it and that’s what we called a kitchen but now we have a kitchen with a dishwasher in it and oven/stove with microwaves and sinks,These three examples are just a few of how technology has changed the way we do things.

Slave trade

Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful. This practice is considered exploitative by many international organisations.

My map is showing the 10 most worst countries using child soldiers

Slave trade

Question's

What is your writing about?
My writing is about the Atlantic Slave Trade Triangle
What did you find the most interesting about this topic?
The most interesting thing for me was learning about the slave trade
and how the slaves were mistreated
Out of ten, how much did you like or dislike the topic?
It was a 6 for me I liked the topic it was very interesting for me and
cool learning things I didn't know before

My paragraph….

The slave trade is a cruel way to sell slaves to the rich or swap them for weapons. One of the reasons it was cruel was because the Africans got taking away from their families and another reason is that the human rights didn’t matter back then, which meant the Africans didn’t have any say in the whole thing nor if they wanted to go where they wanted to leave their home they had been in all their life.

The next passage is where the rest of the slaves were shipped to the USA and processed for auction. It was here
where the Cotton, Tobacco, Sugar Cane and other products slaves produced were put on ships. The ships were disgusting Africans were in there for days and there were all put together naked and if they died they were throwing over bored and got some feed so that not lot’s of Africans died. Children died and so did their parents. If they didn't do what they got told they were made to dance in front of everyone or whipped and sometimes whipped to death!

The third passage saw all the products picked by slaves sent back to Europe. They picked these products like Cotton and Tobacco on plantations. Life on Plantations were awful because they don’t get a say and there treated like wild animals.

                                                                      Slave trade
What is the slave trade triangle?
The best-known triangular trading system is the transatlantic slave trade, that operated from the late 16th to early 19th centuries, carrying slaves, cash crops, and manufactured goods between West Africa, Caribbean or American colonies and the European colonial powers,
What is the first passage?
the First Passage was from Europe to Africa. The cargo on this passage was guns and weapons
What is the middle passage?
Africans were taken to the Caribbean and sold. They were bartered for a ship-load of tobacco and cotton.
What is the third passage?
All the Cotton, Tobacco and other products are put back on ships and sent to Europe. Once the ships get to Europe, they are sold. Then more guns and weapons are purchased.

10MN Class Treaty

We have the treaty because we wanted
roles that not every class has to use or want in there class.
We had to sign the treaty to show that we would follow the rules.

How is Our Class Treaty the Same as the Treaty of Waitangi?

We had two parties signing the treaty.

How is Our Class Treaty different than the Treaty of Waitangi?

we have different rules and different people sign it
